Carter's Birthday Party(ies)

Party preparation - this is one of the few times that I cook each year
Mini cheesecakes - those are bats by the way - "just pretend" as Carter would say
Goody bags - we made them ourselves!!
Y'all wouldn't believe how long it took us to figure out how to arrange the tables & chairs.  We moved them around at least 20 times.  We decided to do away with the adult eating table and it worked out great
Considering there were over 20 kids, they were all so well behaved.  It was not as wild and chaotic as I had expected.
Every mother's nightmare:  black icing!!  Luckily, that's everybody's favorite part so not much ended up on the floor.  We did all have blue tongue and lips though
Thank you to all our friends for coming and for all the wonderful gifts

Carter's birthday celebration at St Paul's Preschool.  He got to share Quatchi with his friends!

Springtime Fun

Jason & I went for our first jog together this year with one boy in each stroller while Carter was at school.  These photos were taken after, that's why my face is all red.

Erupting the volcano that Carter made in preschool

Blue soccer ball from daddy for Carter's birthday

Easton getting down & dirty in the yard...I'm learning to keep my cool in situations like this, AS LONG AS IT STAYS OUTSIDE!!!!

Eating out is going to get really really pretty expensive soon!

Writing the alphabet on our driveway

This Batman shirt was part of an outfit I got Carter for his birthday.  He wore it the ENTIRE week of his birthday, making all my photos for that week looking like it was taken all on one day.

The boys wanted to outline each of us, so I too had to lay on the ground, get chalk dust smeared all over me, and get drooled on as Easton outlined my head...its a good thing I live in sweats and t-shirts now (sorry, J, your nightmare is coming true.....)

The boys giving me eyes, nose, and ears

Do you see Carter's name written on the rocks?

Carter insisted that Easton drive him around on his tricycle.  Eastor "Beastor" did a great job, I'm not sure it would've worked the other way around

"BIG BOYS" Day out

We took the 2 older boys out in Vancouver.  We started out with the skytrain to downtown (I think this was their favorite part of the day)

We stopped at every fountain we saw.  After mom & dad ran out of pennies, the boys had to find their own on the ground

The "Raindrop" at the Convention Center
My never-ending struggle to get...
a photo with Carter...

He's soo happy to get away.....brat.

Daddy caught us munching on cookies

Just for laughs, we took the boys to Fairmont Lounge.  They did behave like "Big Boys", so they get to out with mommy and daddy to nice places again.
